Just days...

Renee and I have been together for fourteen years. She is so ill now that she can no longer speak and she has only a few days left to live. I, for once, am without words...

...except to say that the time seems to have passed in an instant.

Here she is in the kitchen just a few short weeks ago.

hi denise, Danielleeee here. I check your site every day looking for a possible update, and although I knew this was coming I was still no less in shock. I too do not know what to say, except that I do not want ms. shields in pain anymore. As usual, I am praying for the both you, please call if you need anything.

  2. Hello Denise, I just saw this a little while ago. The update is sad. I think about you and Renee often, and if there is anything we can do here at the High School, do not hesitate to call.

    Sincerely, Jewels

  3. Thanks for all your good thoughts and support at this time.
Renee did not want to burden the kids with any more goodbyes, and is not wanting any of us to make a fuss, especially at the high school--she wants to slip away unnoticed.

    Isn't that just like her?

  4. Denise,
You and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I did not know Renee for an very long time she had a profound impact on my life. She was a devoted teacher and will be truely missed. May God hold you in the palm of his had and keep you close.

    Pat Iaccino
